Tapes To Digital ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information when you visit our website and use our services.

1. Information We Collect

• Payment Information: Card details are collected securely by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
• Media Information: Details of the tapes and media you submit for conversion.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To Provide Services: Process orders, complete conversions and deliver your digital files.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

• Service Providers: We share information with trusted providers who help us run our business, including payment processors, delivery companies, IT and hosting providers, our customer relationship system (HubSpot), messaging providers (WhatsApp and our SMS provider) and website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Contentsquare).
• Advertising Platforms: Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), as described in section 4.1.
• Legal Requirements: Where required to comply with the law, protect our rights or respond to a lawful request.
• Business Transfers: If our business is sold or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, analyse how it is used and measure our advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of our website may not work properly without cookies.

4.1 Advertising and measuring our ads
We advertise on Google and Meta. To understand which ads bring us customers, and to stop paying for ads that don't work, we share limited information with these platforms:

• On our website: Google and Meta tags may record that you arrived from an ad and what you did on our site, such as starting a booking or tapping to call or message us.
• After you place an order: we may send Google (and, where used, Meta) your email address and phone number in hashed form (scrambled into a code that can't be read back), together with your order date and value and, if you clicked one of our ads, the ad click ID. The platform matches this only against its own users so it can tell us an ad led to a sale. We do not send your name, address, media details or files.
• These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
• You can ask us to stop sharing your information for advertising at any time by emailing contact@tapestodigital.com.au.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

6. Retention of Your Data

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, including to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements.

7. SMS and WhatsApp Communications

7.1 What we collect
If you give us your mobile number, we collect your number, records of the messages we send you (date, time and content), and your replies and preferences, including opt-ins and opt-outs.

7.2 How we use it
To send service messages about your order (such as updates and reminders), to send marketing messages where you have agreed to receive them, to keep records of your preferences, and to meet our legal obligations.

7.3 Opting out
You will only receive marketing messages if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” or by contacting us at contact@tapestodigital.com.au or +61 485 031 678. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages we need to send about your order.

7.4 Providers
We use third-party providers to send and manage messages on our behalf. They may only use your information to provide that service and must keep it secure.

8. Access, Correction and Complaints

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing or advertising use, by contacting us at:

9. Overseas Disclosure

Some of our service providers, including Google, Meta and HubSpot, store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
